Privacy
Your information, treated like a friend would treat it.
Care involves trusting us with personal things. Here is how we look after that trust, in plain English.
Pre-launch note: this is a working privacy summary. The full privacy policy, including the legal entity name, ABN and complaint contacts, will be published before Aldera begins delivering services.
What we collect
We collect the information needed to arrange and deliver care: contact details, health and support needs, funding information, and the personal preferences recorded in your One Story. We collect it directly from you and your family, with your consent.
How we use it
Your information is used to deliver your care, to keep your Care Circle informed, to claim government funding on your behalf, and to meet our legal obligations under Australian aged care and privacy law. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing lists.
Who sees it
The carers in your Care Circle read your One Story so you never have to repeat it. Beyond your care team, information is shared only where you ask us to, where health and safety require it, or where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or ask questions about how it is handled at any time by calling 1300 998 928. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
