The Aldera way
Care that behaves like an old friendship.
An old friend is not someone who is nice to you once. It is someone who keeps showing up. Everything about how Aldera operates is built to keep that promise.
The Care Circle
A small team you will actually know.
Most providers roster whoever is available. Aldera builds you a Care Circle: two to four regular carers, chosen to match your language, culture and interests, who stay with you.
Leading the circle is your Care Lead. One accountable human with a name, a face and a direct line. When something needs sorting, you call a person you know, not a call centre.
If your circle ever needs to change, your Care Lead calls you first and explains why. That is the guarantee.
The One Story
Tell your story once. Everyone arrives knowing it.
On our first visit, we sit down properly and capture your story. Not just medications and mobility, but the things that make your life yours. How you take your tea. What your garden means. Which grandchild calls on Sundays. What language you dream in.
That becomes your One Story, and every carer reads it before they knock. If a new carer ever has to step in, they arrive already knowing it. You never start again from the beginning.
The five commitments
Promises you can hold us to.
These five behaviours are published here as commitments and run inside Aldera as measured standards. They are the difference between a warm brochure and a kept promise.
The Care Circle guarantee
Two to four regular carers. Never a roster lottery.
You will know every member of your Care Circle by name, and they will know you. If the circle ever needs to change, your Care Lead calls you first and explains why.
The One Story intake
Tell your story once. Every carer arrives already knowing it.
On our first visit we sit down and capture your story properly. Preferences, routines, family names, language, how you take your tea. Every carer reads it before they knock.
The two-hour callback
Every enquiry gets a human callback within two business hours.
No queues, no ticket numbers, no waiting a week to hear back. A real person from Aldera calls you back within two business hours, every time.
The first-visit ritual
Nobody meets a stranger alone.
Your Care Lead personally introduces the first carer at your door. The first visit is a proper introduction between people, not an appointment between codes.
The kitchen-table review
Your care plan, reviewed at your table, every quarter.
Not by letter. Not through a portal. Every quarter your Care Lead sits down with you and your family at your kitchen table and asks what should change.
You’ll know us, and we’ll know you.
From the first knock
Nobody meets a stranger alone.
Your Care Lead is at the door for the first visit, introducing your first carer in person. From then on, every visit is a familiar face. And every quarter, your Care Lead returns to your kitchen table to review the plan with you and your family.
If a carer is ever sick or away, your Care Lead calls you before you notice, and whoever steps in has already read your One Story. The system bends. The promise does not.
The name is the promise
Aldera comes from Alden, an Old English name meaning old friend, and the alder, a tree that strengthens the ground it grows in.
Alders do their best work quietly, at the roots. So do we. Our care plans are framed around what you can still do and want to keep doing, never around what you have lost. Strength, not decline.
